The Handmade Fair Trade Little Song Singing Bowl embodies two of Nepal's richest traditions, metalwork and meditation. Singing bowls, and the ringing hum they create, help clear your mind, cleanse your heart, and comfort your soul. To make the bowl sing, first tap it, hold the smooth part of the stick upright against the bowl and move it slowly around the outside of the bowl in a circular motion, keeping firm contact with the bowl's surface. Family workshops applying metalwork skills share their craft in new markets for fair prices. Thanks to their work with our fair trade partner Mahaguthi, these families are able to earn sustainable incomes. Singing bowl is made from tin, copper, zinc and iron; chilaune wood stick; red and grey handloomed cotton fabric pillow.
